Hello BKP forum. After being introduced to Bare Knuckle by my brother 808, I've decided to give the boards a go. I am also a guitar player (17 years), and do my best to sound musical on Telecasters and Fender amps. I love good music, no matter the genre, but I have a penchant for the Blues. Hope I can add to the forums. To wrap up my introduction, I'll end with asking how long have you been knocking your guitars around and what are your inclinations to music?

Cheers!

P.S. I've heard the transformation my brother's Les Paul went through from stock Gibson pickups to Mules. Wow! sums it up. I love the organic tone.

Groovy!

My bro and I jam blues here and there, and I sometimes make the blues jams with the older fellas my bro has told you all about. Those older gents really know how to squeez the strings.

I had the chance in '93 to have a few beers with Tab Benoit, as we're from the same area, at one of his gigs. Became a fan instantly. A little over a year ago, I saw him at the music store and we chatted. I told him I still have his autographed copy of his first album and he stated I'm probably the only person with one. Character, indeed! We talked guitars, amps, and the Blues. I found out from a friend of his that Tab was also a stand up comic before hitting the Blues scene.

Glad to see you made it to the board!

Thanks for giving him a warm welcome guys!

I once again changed the caps in my guitar. Twinfan sparked an interest in me to try out the Sprague Orange drops after reading his comparison of the Orange drops and Hovland musicaps.( I've been lurking more than posting lately) I really love the Orange drops better than the Hovlands!

A few others on the board had recommended both when I was researching upgrade kits. I went with the Hovlands cause they came with the kit I ordered. After 6 months with the Hovlands, I decided to try the orange drops. My Mules were really clean sounding with the Hovlands but I rather the full body, nasty tone I get with the Orange drops. The Hovlands sounded too perfect.

Cheers  8)

Hi Roho

I'm also new to these boards. I've been playing guitar for .... 30+ years now, although only 'seriously' for the last 10 of those 30.

My musical inclinations are pretty diverse. It's not unusal for me sit and listen to artists such as Pink Floyd, BB King, Gary Moore, Joy Division, Led Zep, Blue Nile, Sting and Neil Young - all in the space of an hour.

As I'm getting older my playing style is turning increasingly towards the blues. I've never had the chance to play in a blues band but it's something I'm looking to do shortly.

Cheers

He just bought a Tele. We haven't had a chance to jam with the LP and Tele.....yet!

Hopefully, we'll get a chance this weekend.
