Baritone Ibanez 7-string
« on: December 04, 2007, 01:37:26 AM »
I've been searching for a Ibanez Baritone 7 string like the RG7421XL but they are sooo hard to find. When I search for them I get a bunch of links to archived Jemsite posts and cases for the guitar but no guitar itself. If someone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

Baritone AND 7 string? Why would you need something like that?  :? Anyways I'd keep an eye on ebay for one and also look at getting a custom guitar made. Also, there's a new Ibanez 8 string model which should cover similar ocataves as a 7 string baritone.

hey, why not register to sevenstring.org

I've been a member on there for a while and it's a really good place to find rare 7 strings and just generally to about anything related to it

My initial thought was "a Baritone 7 string? That'll be so low that you'd make a brown noise and simultaneously the world would cr@p its pants!"

Baritone 7 strings tuned to B have the tightest, clearest, most articulate B tuning sound you can get. Baritone 7 strings tuned to F# are just badass. 8 strings cost too much!

Have you ever thought about the esp baritone steph carpenter signature 7's the come on ebay now and again or you can get one off thomman for about £750 great playing guitars although the neck is a little more rounded than the ibanez necks.

Yeah those are pretty nice. But they have EMG. I like the EMGs but I am interested in buying a overwound 7 string painkiller for the F# tuning.

And the middle pickup on the SC-607B is $%&#ing annoying. The neck is great though. Not as fast as Ibanez necks but so what, why the hell would you tune a guitar to F# to play fast?
