Warpig complaint...

They're too -ing good!
Now I need to change the Burstbucker Pros in my Les Paul, because they sound bad in comparison.
They (warpigs) make my palm muted playing sound so much better I thought I'd suddenly improved. With the '57 classics that were in there before, I felt like Jeremy Clarkson ('Power!') and felt the need to hit the drive switch. Not any more.

So, here's the question. Should I put a set of Warpigs in my Les Paul? Or should I go for something slightly different?

Personally I'd go for something different. You already have some warpigs, and Tim has said that they can be a bit TOO much in a LP.
How about a Crawler?

Crawlers are nice in Les Pauls and have plenty of power. Rebel Yells are very nice too.

What kind of Les Paul are you talking about?

Lots of excellent choices SC. Also the Miracle Man seem to be part on one of Tim Les Paul...I think. What would you like it to be?

depends how high gain you want to go obviously. why not something with vintage output like some nice mules (always the right choice!) :) :)

Sounds like the fella likes alot of power under the hood - Mules ain't gonna deliver (remember he said the '57 Classics and Burstbuckers ain't got enough horsepower).

If you want something hot as a steaming turd, but different to the Warpig try any of these...

* Ceramic Warpig
* Painkiller
* Miracle Man wound hot to 22k like MDV's

maybe maybe... but i dont think she would be dissapointed anyway - and i'm willing to swear on oath that my mules are hotter than my miracle man. (especially my A5 one)

Thanks folks. I've got a fair bit to think about.
One thing that puzzles me - why did my 57 classics (Alnico II) sound rougher than my Burstbuckers (Alnico V)?
I considered Cold Sweats and Painkillers before I got my Warpigs. Now... I'm not so sure anymore.
I think, I will have a listen to some samples, and take it from there.
