I've just put together a BYOC 250OD clone, and I'm instantly converted!  A little bit of a pain sorting out all of the diodes etc, but not at all hard to assemble, and the resulting pedal is really cool!  Leaving the drive rolled completely off adds a lovely sparkling clarity to my Orange, and the Nailbombs really bring that clarity out.

Anyone else using them?

Merry Christmas etc.

Nice job, the OD250 and Dist+ can sound pretty good depending on the amp you use them with.  I personally prefer them with very little dirt from the amp otherwise they sound flabby.

If you were wondering whether to try the Dist+ since it's 99% the same circuit, I'd say DONT.  The OD250 is warmer and fatter.

Cool.

Was going to avoid the Distortion +.  At the moment it's just the 250, and the Orange turned up pretty loud.  You're right, with no gain at all it makes the amp sound so warm.

Damn the neighbours!!!

Was thinking of trying out the Tube Screamer clone, they're out of stock until January though.
