Auld Lang Sine ~ Coldsweat ~ Klone
« on: January 01, 2008, 01:30:29 AM »
Well, it's that time of year again, so I thought I'd do a little something to make the occasion rockin'!

'Auld Lang Sine' on an Aria Pro 2 CE-350 with a Coldsweat in the Bridge

Effects used:

Harley Benton modeling amp (Hi-watt voice)
Dunlop Dyna-Comp
Boss DS-1
B.K Butler Tube Driver (Rhythm parts only)
Behringer Graphic EQ
iSP Technologies Noise Decimator

How does the Cold sweat handle randy rhoads-Zakk style playing??

the miracle man can get a bit closer to zakk's tones, but the cold sweat has a beautiful mid crunch and the "extremities" are more balanced (less bassy/spikey, more versatile)
I loved the miracle man in my LP, but the cold sweat sounded better to my ears
for modern metal stuff only, the miracle man wins hands down
but they are kinda cousins

As said before, BKP's will handle the playing as well as you can play it. just what characteristics do you want?
I wouldn't have thought the CS would sound right for Zakk due to the midrange though.
