Ozzy Osbourne is looking for a guitar player to write his next studio album with. All interested parties should send a package showcasing their guitar skills to:

Ozzy Osbourne Guitar Player
P.O. Box 5249
Beverly Hills, CA 90209

How about it Tim \ TO \ Steve etc?? You never know 8)

On a side note, ozzy should just quit, he cant sing anymore, and i cant see him writing anything good again :(

I reckon Tim should do it, after all, he is already in an Ozzy Tribute band and has almost every song down to a T.

I wonder how Zakk Wylde will see this, I think I read a recent quote which said 'all Ozzy has to do is pickup the phone and I'm there', or something to that effect.

I've listened to a very recent radio interview a couple of days ago with Ozzy over t'internet and he said how pleased he was about BLS/Zakk's success.

I assume this is the reason for the parting of the ways.

I also doubt there will be any new music & I'd hate to see Oz shaking the greatest hits tree for as long as Kiss. (my fingers are crossed for Paul Stanley's solo album!)

It was almost painful to just listen to him speak, his stutter just makes you so aware of the decline in motor skills.

I'm sure the guy is as sharp mentally as ever but just can't get it out - it's a real pity.

I'd love to see Ozzy genuinely retire and only do the odd "special" show which Zakk could be a part of.

Though I think if the worst happened, Sharon would even employ the services of a taxdermist & embalmer plus another guitarist so she could keep that money train rolling.

I admire the woman in business but she is will do anything for an ongoing media profile even admit to shagging Randy Rhoads 20+ years after the event - now did Ozzy really need to have his nose so publicly rubbed in that?

After Zakk goes - I'm out...   PDT_025

Thanx for the compliment, chrisola; my style is really different than the usual Ozzy guitarist.

I think that someone wanting that guitar slot should really think about  it, because if you got the gig, it means writing off a couple years of your life, at the very least. For me, that would mean shelving the band I've worked on so hard to get where it is now ... I'm not anywhere NEAR the Ozzy level of sales and notoriety, but I still wouldn't can my own stuff to join what would basically be a covers band.

Jake never really fit well with Ozzy, which is a shame, because I think he's a brilliant guitarist! I much prefer Badlands to his Ozzy material, tho.

from what I've heard from their site's clips, Ozzy couldn't match an Ozzmosis performance

This hits the nail on the head. Her willingness to exploit her family for money &  media attention is quite disturbing. Good guitarists are easy to find, the hard part is finding one that's a good songwriter.
Hopefully there are no guest writers on this next one, Down to Earth had some of the worst lyrics written. Zakk knew the cd was cr@p and went to see the execs at Sony about it, funny article in an old Guitar world.

Ozzy shouldn't quit just yet. I still have to see one of his shows. I was supposed to go last year but he had to drive into a tree on that quad bike. :wallbash:

There's a lot of talk of Ozzy's seemingly impending retierement on some of the rock sites I go to, but let's face it, the only way Ozzy will retire from being a rock god is in a wooden box. He's come very close to that in numerous occaisions in his life, and I don't think it'll stop him now. He just needs to slow down and realise that he isn't in his 30's anymore, he's just got to slow down a bit.

I mean look at all the revered blues legends, like Buddy Guy, BB King, these old guys are showing the younger guys how it's done while they were in their 60's, the only difference is that they have realised that they're not the sprightly youngsters they once were.

Ozzy, look at your schedule, then rip it up and take some time out to relax.

BKP wouldn't be able to exist without Tim and the prices of components wouldn't suddenly get lower if he was rich!
