Yes I went on about the Irsih Tour set for soooo long, but after hearing hunter's comparison downloads, I've taken the plunge & got....The Mother's Milk set. It just seemed more like the sound I've got in my head...and it'll fit with my current Thomas Blug err thing I have a the moment. Took the plunge & also got a WD Music strat upgrade set as well.

Let the good times roll!

+1

Those are good clips.  Although based on them, I'd go Apaches personally.

No, shouldn't take anywhere near that long, unless you've ordered something really unusual.  You should get them this week.  :D

(Edit: Apologies for my previous comment, by the way.  It reads like "Duh! You should've got Apaches!   ", which wasn't my intention at all.  I just thought it was interesting that people can listen to the same clips but hear different things they like.)

I can second that - 3 days is it all took for my lot to arrive. I was amazed and very impressed. Last week I was settling down for an anxious wait, worrying if I'd done the right thing. But before I knew it I had two guitars upgraded and knew I'd done the right thing.

Good choice of pickups and music (Thomas Blug) Mr.Head  8)  8)

Unfortunately you are now afflicted with the terrible BKP GAS bug.

I'd be very interested to hear how you get on Horsehead - I'm only a week ahead of you on this BKP thing.

I wasn't on the forum but I was deliberating ITs for ages. A few months back I nearly switched to Mother's Milk after hearing the same clips. But I decided to stick with my original plan.

I'm still not sure I made exactly the right decision - BUT I love the sound of the ITs (and the replaced Texas Specials in an old Squier have brought that to life as well).

It's taken me nearly a week now to get the IT heights sorted to my satisfaction, but with each day I'm more impressed with these pickups. And I haven't even put new strings on yet!

And I can confirm what Tellboy says - now I've started with BKPs, I want them on everything. I'm already planning my next set, and I even find myself looking for new guitars to put pickups on...
