I've held off posting anything about this until I had the chance to take pictures.

Cheers guys.

I must say, I'm absolutely floored by this amp every time I fire it up.

At bedroom levels the crunch channel sounds thin and fizzy, but as it becomes uncomfortably loud the fizziness starts to disappear and you're left with the most amazing, thick, clear metal rhythm tone you can imagine.
The lead channel makes things adds some sag and makes for a much more fluid sound. So much sustain is on offer and keep finding myself widdling away for minutes on end when I switch to this channel.
The cleans are incredible, really huge and deep, then spanky and Fendery with bright switch on. You can even get very decent AC/DC style tones with the gain turned up on this channel.

I'm going to get the interior/exterior LEDs changed to blue as soon as Framus get back to me with the specs of the current ones.

I can't wait to take this thing into band practise. Our backline now has a Powerball, an Invader 100 and a Cobra in it.

wooooo. Never had the chance to play with one of them but I've heard good things. I've only ever heard Biomechanical use them live and liked the tone (except their lead tone is all through floor board processors  :? ).

What guitars are you running it with?

My main gigging guitar is an Ibanez PGM with a custom set of BK Nailbombs:

I'll also be getting a Blackmachine B6 once Doug gets round to building it.

My God. I'd like to see the look on your face when you strike the first chord of that setup....

And your neighbour's too.

I've actually already had a run-in with the neighbours! I was trying to make a video to put up on youtube quite late last night...

Thankfully my neighbours on the other side are guitar players so they didn't mind!

If you're interested, you can see the clip in question on my youtube channel in my sig. The camera mic had a hard time keeping up with the Cobra's pwnage though.

sweet!

i need to get to try some framus stuff, their guitars look quite nice too, and some of the models at least appear to be decent value. never even seen a framus, let alone tried one.

i blame a shop here which has a dealership, but only seems to stock the warwick bass stuff- probably stopping other shops from getting a dealership.
