Gordon Smith just emailed me this:

"John hand sprays the guitars and white picks up anything that's in the atmosphere. He ends up spending far too long rubbing down and re-spraying and he's still not happy with the results. So basically he just told me not to take any more orders for white."

what he's really telling you is that they need better air filtration wherever they spray!!

the same contamination must go into every GS.... just shows up more on white

Dave and MDV both have Legras, so you can ask them about getting a custom from them.

Thats ridiculous, surely a guitar manufacture should be able to afford a decent spray booth :lol:

I think less of GS guitars now

GS2-Flying V. RRP: £750.00.

This guitar was made for one of our customers to his specification and what a great guitar it is. Two P90 pickups on a white body, with a white scratch plate and white matching headstock. Well set off with the GSG unique one piece maple neck and finger board. Unfortunately for reasons beyond his control, spell that "W.I.F.E. and D.A.U.G.H.T.E.R.!!" (Only Joking Chris) ), he was unable to complete the purchase. Also I exhibited the guitar at the NEC "Music Live" Exhibition this month and it came back with a couple of tiny black marks on the body. Not sure what they are and may be felt tip. On the other hand it may be something under the finish. White has always been a problem for such things and in fact this will probably be the last white GSG as it's just not worth the trouble. Difficult to see the marks unless really close up, but they are there and we'll try to show them in the pic's

Anyway, let's cut to the chase. Every cloud has a silver lining (my cloud, your silver lining (as usual!)) and in this case it's a £125.00 to be saved on this guitar.

Don't miss it. Grab a bargain at only £625.00. Yowser!!

is this about that white sg with a p90? i know tokai have a model with two p90's, available in white, for about £500 street. though maybe you want one with just the bridge pickup, and i haven't tried that tokai (most of the others i've tried have been nice, though)...

Ah I wasn't sure if you meant that!!

I went to the doctors today and they said that they don't think I have it anymore but it is best to rest anyway.
