Viva La Londonium!
« on: January 18, 2008, 10:36:58 PM »
Well, I'm nearing my University stage (if that's even on the horizon *bites fingernails*) and I had chosen Kingston University as a choice - which means I have/want to attend the Business/Law Applicant Day.

The reason I'm posting this is - LONDON! A place of business. In other words. I'm looking for guitar shops near Kingston Hill.

So I'm asking the help of you guys for some good guitar shops not too far from Kingston Hill and/or anywhere near walking distance. And some of the brands that are available.

Thanks in advance!

err, is Kingston in London?  I thought it was in Surrey.  There is a guitar shop in Kingston - it has a good collection of 2nd hand effects.  As London is a city about 20 miles in diameter its a bit to far from Forest Hill to go to for me.

Charlie Chandlers isn't that far.
Earth music if they are still going are within spitting distance.
X electrical has a good secondhand selection from time to time

And Feline started off in a shop in Surbiton which is pretty close although we moved to Croydon when that shop closed 9 years ago.

And you have an Apple store within Bentalls store too!!

Thanks a bunch :)

It's really just to browse and potentially buy since it's my first time around London to be honest. I might just end up going home, going to Glasgow University Open day and go to GuitarGuitar. Or ordering online.

I brought some of my first gear from X-Electrical by the station.

I quite like Kingston, Croydon and Sutton. Was born in Surrey so it must be sentimental reasons.

X Electrical - that's the one - I go to Kingston about 5 times a year and i've got some great rarities from there - well worth a visit on a good day.

Charlie Chandlers - Hampton Wick

Chandlers - Kew

Feline - Croydon

As for Kingston - not too sure.
