What are the outputs in mV of bare knuckle pickups (I'm maily intersted in the higer output ones here, as I always am :))

Is mV output a better measure/estimate of how powerfull a pickup sounds than DC resistance?

Would you folks at BKP cosider putting mV output on the product descriptions pages?

Cheers

Sadly mV only confuses matters further....imho

A VH2 sounds louder than a Miracle man, even though the miracle man is the high output pickup! A Mule can also keep up with a MM, it's because of the extra harmonic detail present in scatterwound pickups. mV and resonant peak, DC resistance tell you little about how a scatterwound pickup will sound!

Absolutely..............millivolts output etc has so many variables:who's playing the guitar, string gauge etc so it's a real misnomer. In fact everything bar DC Res is irrelevant IMHO and even that should be taken with a pinch of salt as comparing DC res of differing wire gauges is pointless.
As with all these things, use your ears............there are plenty of clips up in the players room now and most of the UK BKP maindealers have demo stock you can try out.
