I thought I was gas free until about 10 minutes ago http://www.liveitlive.co.uk/intro.htm, have a look at the PDF catalogue

Particularly the Country Squire Yardbird & the Corona 60 (the strat type one on their main page), I'm not totally in love with their headstock but it's better than many Fen**r style

I didn't even realise Fret-King were still going until you put the links in that other thread earlier.  I always liked the look of the Esprit myself, with that pseudo-Firebird body shape.  There's something strangely appealing about the Ventura too.

my steinberger is 'flavour of the month' at the moment. you know, at first  wasn't so keen on the miracle man i put in the bridge. after playing with the height adjustment, i've changed my tune, and i really like it. even thinking of sorting the neck pickup out.

anyway with my steinberger love at the moment, i wouldn't mind a proper old steinberger GP in white... something like this:

no idea whats in the background i'm afraid, since the image is not of my music room.

regarding upper fret access, i have the korean maple version (as opposed to the 80s USA graphite/maple version pictured) and its not that bad.

my number one choice gigging axe changes, but my steinberger is always the trusty number two. i love that guitar ;) if something would happen to it, i would be very pissed off. a backup would be sensible.

Unusually for me I have a strat desire (normally i am a humbucker kind of guy) - especially after seeing Mark Kendall from Great White last weekend play all night with a strat.

I have also rediscovered the BKP Boss pickup as a thing of great sonic beauty and am planning a way to combine it as the bridge position on a strat/tele hybrid (maybe with a pair of Mothers milk pickups too)

As for what make to get - I suppose that I would prefer to make it myself as the quality will be there where it counts,
I don't know if it counts as GAS if it's something that you would make yourself but I think it does ......

I made something like this a while back and maybe I will make myself a variant of it with a Tele bridge pickup mounted to the scratchplate... here's what the last one looked like:

That's the best looking tele I've ever seen.

Damn, even I would play that. Seriously. Me, of all people.

I've been eyeballing this body for quite some time...  I think a "None Blacker" strat with this type of finish would like really nice...  I'd get an all ebony neck with no finish...
