right this is exactly why i dont like my nailbomb....

it sounds really lifeless,,, I KNOW they can sound amazing so i dont get where im going wrong.

any tips on how to Eq it from here would be greatly appreciated.

sorry that the clip is slightly out of time in places

I do love the pinches though :D

I thought it sounded good. But a lot more warpiggy than nailbomby, if my understanding is right. Maybe give it some more mids and less bass?

I like the tone in both of those clips.  I have a calibrated Nailbomb set, and I struggle to get anything "metal", mainly because I don't really have the setup for that.  But I'd never describe the pickups as lifeless...

I can do a pretty good Tony Iommi, if I use an Arion distortion pedal with the battery almost flat, and play through Walkman headphones, miked up...

Ive figured out why it sounded lifeless.....

dead strings.

I forgot how old they were until my high e snapped without me touching it.

Thanks for your comments on the tones.

Im actually happier with it the more i listen it over.

just wish i could add more treble... its up full on the amp sim and almost full on the eq pedal in gearbox if i put it higher it just sounds thin and horrible
