looking for a certain sound....

I'm looking for a tone similar to that of Trey Anastasio, if any of you are familiar with his sound. I play a USA made stratocaster through a Fender 65 twin reverb. If anyone knows of a Bare Knuckle pickup that could give me the smooth sustain similar to Anastasio's tone I would love to hear recommendations. Thanks.

-this may help....I thik the Koa guitar he plays has different pups than the ones Languedoc puts in the ones he sells-Schaller Golden 50 HUMBUCKERS---seems he uses a series/parallel switch as well-for a single coil, I would shhot for one that has roughly the same specs as a S DUncan PAF

If you do a search for "Anastasio" in the Pickup forum you'll find some great info. there.  My thoughts are that, because Trey plays a hollowbody, it'll be hard to get exactly the same sound as Trey out of a Strat.  That said, for BKP humbuckers I'd look into AIV Mules.  If you get them unpotted that might give a little more breath to the sound.  I don't play single coils so I'm not sure what to recommend there, maybe Apache?
