Hello.

Just thought I'd post some pics of a few guitars I've recently gotten (and 1 that I've agreed to buy, but haven't fetched yet).

Tom told me when I bought this from him that he believes it to be an Ash body made by a guy called Roger Giffin sometime in the 80's, and the neck is a Mexi Fender Strat neck that was originally on TO's Roland Ready Strat (if I remember correctly). The bridge is a general 6-point vintage Trem that I got from Allparts and never used. This guitar will be getting a set of black Apaches within the neck month or so.

Here's the Limited Edition Japanese Tokai Explorer I've agreed to buy from Joe:

I believe it's stock in the 1st pics, and in the 2nd pic it has a set of Painkillers in it, which will be in the guitar when I pick it up. I'm on a bit of a Heavy Rock/Metal 'kick' atm, so chances are those pickups will be staying in this guitar :twisted:

I've also ordered a pair of VHIIs on a Tortoiseshell scratchplate for my White Jap Strat, so will prob post pics of that too when I've routed it out slightly :)

I'm not a strat man, I'm afraid, but that Explorer is a beaut !!. I suspect my next guitar may well be a MIJ Tokai Explorer !!

though i am not a fan of those headstocks, i am going to have to agree that the explorer is teh awsomez! :o

I wasnt sad to see my strat go at all :lol: Its great but at the minute strats just arent for me.

I've been watching Joe's Explorer on eBay (not meaning to bid, just a bit of eBay voyeurism :oops: ).

I'm ordering the Apaches for the Strat next month (spent waaaaaaaaaay too much money on new gear over the last few months already to do it any sooner :lol: :roll: :lol: :roll:) and then picking the Explorer up as soon as I can get the time off work.
