Close call...

I just dropped my SG neck first vertically into the floor :o  Thanks to a stupid arse phone call from somebody that i answered when playing. The strap fell off and it went straight into the ground!
Luckily no damage was made apart from a few chips on the headstock but it could have been so much worse :evil:

Did you see the thing in Guitarist about using the rubber stopper in a Grolsch bottle over your strap and the strap button as strap lock - looked kinda cool.  Think I might pop out and buy some Grolsch to try it.

Yeh i saw that, might try to get some but i have a feeling they wouldn't work too well, but yeh i need strap locks, that was too close!

Same happened here with my Tokai - the little clips from ebay work fine, cost less than a fiver and you don't have to mess around with replacing the strap holders (not that they're exactly that hard to swap)
