Ok, so I've complained about my local music shop having nothing in particular...
Before Christmas, they got in an SG Special. On offer. [Basically, it turns out, internet price] It's on a street I walk down most days...
I think you can guess the rest. Thinking, 'Oh well, I'll try it, it'll be all wrong, and I can just shrug' was, on reflection, a mistake. Because it wasn't.
Why couldn't I just, y'know, ignore it?

Anyway, what's a good set of uncovered humbuckers to put in an SG?

congratulations on your new SG! a very wise purchase :) you have one with warpigs don't you? so what about something with vintage output..?

i know you've specifically said humbuckers, but single coil mississippi queens would be a nice contrast in your collection perhaps? (dont know what else you've got)

I've got one with mississippi queens already. :) I'm thinking Mules or Riff Raffs...

Well, I've got one SG with Warpigs, and one with Mississippi Queens...
I'm thinking, either something inbetween, or something OTT. Probably something inbetween.

Was thinking about the same SG purchase myself - 400 notes, or thereabouts?

Weirdly enough, I'd be tempted to put the PG Blues in mine...  LOVE that inbetween tone...
