actually i'd probably rather have a blade or (presumably, as i've only tried their gibson copies) edwards if i'd rather have a more modern-feeling tele.

I think (although I haven't tried them either) all the Edwards Strats and Teles have vintage frets and 7.25" radius.

when i emailed ishibashi, i was told 9.5" radius and medium frets (that's for the non-relic models, though- the relics might be/probably are different)... :)

Cheers Dave, I stand corrected.  :)  I wonder if that applies to the Jeff Beck/Seymour Duncan relic with humbuckers?

No, I must stop thinking these thoughts...

^ no worries philly, i'd have thought there's a good chance those relics do have the vintage radius... they do have 21 frets after all (the non-relics have 22). But it'd be worth looking into, for anyone interested. EDIT: i'm actually lucky i don't like relics... several of those edwards relics would be awesome if it weren't for the relic job...

and never buy another guitar? haha, some chance. not for me either...

I kinda like this tele...

It's a cheaper tele, but that extra tele style pickup... all the black and chrome and maple neck...  I just love the look of it!

American standard didn't get a very good review in this month's guitarist magazine.
Personally I'd never buy a tele without big ol' brass saddles and a ashtray bridge

not sure about the brass saddles (presumably steel ones would be easily switched to brass if so desired), but agreed about the ashtray thing. :)

I would imagine for a bridge strummer like myself I would rip myself a new one on an ashtray bridge. As much as I love teles, the modern ones are perfect. Do like the look of the three pickup model though...

There's no doubt that "real" Tele tone needs an ashtray bridge.  But the modern bridges are close enough for me - still sounds great!

both look shitee to me, but i suppose i don't count since i hate teles.  In anycase if i WAS to pick, i would go with the stummer as i like that beat up look (though i would rather aquire that look over time).
