I'm curious about that town...
Possible to survive around it without a car? I should drive soon anyway.

Depends how you feel about roundabouts really. Parking is expensive, and on shopping kinda days, its rather congested to say the least.

The little kind of villages / the housing parts are ok.

I'm doing a job there by the train station.  Last week, I was trying to find my out and had to turn left at 4 consectutive roundabouts.  In theory I should have ended up back where I started, but ended up in the countryside.

I can only presume that it sit's on some sort of dimensional rift.

Oh, from what I remember as a kid, there were a fair few nice women.
Advice worth what you just paid for it.

:D I have family that live there & i go into MK quite regularly. You will need a car. They have all the shops that everybody else does. The cinema complex is fun & the cinema is comfortable, with all the usual films that are every where else. Like most places its been completely bar-stewardised so it could be anywhere in the country. There's no real distinctive places that stand out. My nieces are both in the early 20`s & there seems to be plenty of clubs & pubs etc. Loads of restaurants etc. Housing is being built all the time, and there quite expensive. As for low level chavs i`m afraid everywhere in the country is blighted with them and MK is no different. But there are some very nice areas there to and by and large its actually quite a nice and quite area to live. Oh and its built on a grid system which is why there are so many roundabouts, but once you learn how the system works its quite straight forward.

Christ if you think MK is depressing, you should visit Hatfield. It's the armpit of britain. The only other place that's as bad is Luton

I don't know Hatfield, but I'd have to agree that MK is preferable to Luton.

I used to know Hatfield on account of my ex-wife having rellies there. I guess that one of the benefits of the divorce was not having to go there any more. As for MK, been there a few times and it is a nice place to leave. It is uninspiring but in fairness, there are worse places in the UK.
