Woohoo! New wah time!
« on: February 15, 2008, 08:38:33 AM »
My Dad emailed today, they picked me up a Geoffrey Teese RMC2 and are sending it/bringing it home for me.

:D

Thank goodness for parents who always travel to America for holidays.

They're pretty good, aye... I only mentioned it in joking like "haha, you should buy me this new wah pedal" and they only went and did it.

Wahey!

I had a blue one with three different settings. It's an average sounding wah but it weighs a fecking tonne! Prefer my CBFH DB1 wah (which is what Mr Ed is replacing with his new wah, coincidentally). I'm interested in what he has to say about the Teese because I can't really fault my DB1 except for a little tone suckage when not in use.

So we haven't heard from you since, have you been playing non-stop since you got it? How many batteries have yoy wasted already? How is your foot doing? Can you still keep up with the right or did you have to learn to use it with the left due to fatigue?

I haven't actually used it yet :( because I keep my amp and cab at my bands practise room and I cancelled practise tonight because Liverpool were on the tele. It's gonna be next tuesday before I get my hands (ie, feet) on it.

I did mount it to my pedalboard last night though and then posted a photo in the pedalboard thread so yeah.

First thoughts, it's a hell of a lot smoother! I still need some tuning to find the best position for the Q and to affect the wet/dry signal ratio but I am very impressed with how much warmer it sounds.

:)
