Another Marshall Clip - BlackDogs

Done with the VM 2266 mic'ed with the Sennheiser on a Greenback and the SM57 on the G12-65.

Oh I would so like to crank this amp up to get its full potential.

People said it was thin. Well, maybe thinner than my other amps, but I dig the fact that it cuts through so well and drives the upper mids with so much harmonics ...

I've noticed your more recent clips have been really high gain and a bit fizzy compared to your older ones :( I like the lead tone on this though but the rhythm could do with less gain imo. Does have the proper marshall upper mid crunch thing though which is always good, I bet it'd sound good live.

Maybe the amp - still prefer the Shiva clips you do to all the other ones :)

I completely agree!  The Shiva is superb, and you know how to get the best out of it.

Thanks for the feedback _tom_ , appreciated! Have to say the guys in my band also asked for the Shiva to come back

I guess the GH50 is maybe a bit in between, i.e. a more rounded Marshall or a more grainy Shiva...

This is just new right now, as I mentioned, my first ever Marshall, and I'm just enjoying the upper mids sizzle as it supports the playing so much.

Looks nice too IMO
