Hi, Guys, I just received my Cold Sweat Neck I ordered, and am Stoked!(Record Time!), but I have a question.. I ordered a reverse Zebra cuz I wanted to have cream coils in the middle to match my NB Zebra(a cream sandwhich, if you will) But when you look at the script Writing that says BK on the back, If this is right side up, it would mean that this Zebra is not in reverse. My Nailbomb has black toward the bridge, cream toward neck and the script logo on back is right side up.
So does it matter which way I flip it to install as far as tone? or is it just proximity to the neck that will give it the right tone. I didn't know if they are wound one way on one side to match the bridge pickup and what not. thanks for any advice

Don't put them in your guitar based on the engraving on the back. It will make a difference in sound if you flip them. Keep the screw pole pieces on the outsides(closest to fretboard and bridge). It should be the same side with the wire coming out.

well, I got double screw coils, but I see what you are talkin' bout with the wire lead . That makes it look Reverse Zebra correct ,because I have the lead wire closest to neck on the neck PU. Thanks, for that clarification!

No problem. I was confused at first too when I got my Warpigs with double screws.

well, what's sad is, after reading your post I looked at my old Nailbomb with just single coil screws and it turns out that IT is reverse zebra too after all that planning to make a cream sandwhich! But I can live with that cuz I got the NB from a dealer a long time ago and had it in another guitar a while back, took it out and it's been in its box for a year, so I forgot which direction it was facing in that guitar. It will still look cool enuff and it's the killer sound of the BKs that counts Thanks for your latenite reply. It's only 11 where I live

It's not that late for me in Wisconsin. I'm just here trolling the forum until my new pots arrive so I can install the 'pigs. Dunno why, it's making the wait seem longer.:crzy:

Oh, I just assumed you were in th U.K. What kind of pots did you order? I am chomping at the bit too to get mine installed by a tech possibly tommorrow. What kind of guitar are they going in? mines a japanese ibanez s540

Nice! I have a white '91 540, <3 MIJ Ibanez. I got pots from RSguitarworks.net. Two super pots, a push/pull, and an audio taper all 500k. It's all going into a '84 Greco Les Paul copy.

I couldn't resist Warpigs with battle-worn black finish to go with the silver/black thing it's got goin' on.

That's from their site. Sounded good to me so I figure why not.

I have the RS superpots as well. I find the difference very minimal in comparison to the regular CTS 500K pots. I find that both clean up nicely and the roll off is about the same. Great quality product, just questionable when it comes to price.

The price difference for me was $4 US each. Since I've never had CTS pots anyway I just went for the superpots for the 2 volumes. If there's not much difference that's ok, it didn't break the bank.
