Grace Slick Dreams - categorize?
« on: February 18, 2008, 10:53:05 PM »
Hi

I don't suppose anyone is familiar with this song but its very unusual to my ears, very epic and bizarre. Anyway I really like it and was wondering if anyone knows any other tunes like this, I mean what category would it come under?

I bet no one has ever even heard this song let alone heard of it heh ah well is there anyway I could upload it somewhere you could listen to it without getting into trouble?

Cheers

I've got that album on vinyl, bought in 1980!  And I've got the heavy rockin' follow-up, Welcome To The Wrecking Ball!.

Never mind categories, I love the title track and "Face To The Wind".  Are they available on CD?
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

Hey

Yea you can get Dreams on cd but its pretty rare to get hold of I dunno where I heard dreams I think it was on planet rock, such a tune I would love to hear more stuff like this. Is it 70s psychadelia or something? I just love the way the instruments work sounds kinda surreal.

I guess I'd call it psychedelic rock with a bit of a glossy '80s production job.  It's a long time since I've heard it, and I can't play vinyl any more (I need a new turntable!).

Many of the tracks on those two albums were written by the guitarist, Scott Zito.  I wonder what became of him?
