I'd agree about the metal thing, my first impression was that a lot of people here were metal players using Bare Knuckle's to power Laney amps. That's not changed much, it's by no means a bad thing - simply an observation. :)

I reckon that Nailbombs have to be close to the top of the list.

Yeah, I imagine that the best sellers are:
Nailbomb, Miracle Man, Warpig, Rebel Yell, Mule (not necessarily in that order)

Of the singles, I'd guess that the Sultans sell least - they hardly ever get talked about here & the only clips in the Players forum are ~2 years old.

There was an absolutely superb Slowhand clip but I can't find it anymore (I think I still have it downloaded to my home machine).  Slowhands are high on my list if I get another HSS guitar or build another Warmoth.

The Tele pickups don't seem to get discussed a lot either...
BKPs: HD, MM, NB, PK, CS, Ab (b&n); Am (b only); VHII, Tril (n only); IT, Slow, Sult (m&n)

I can imagine the warpig to be very high. I guess people just see it and think, its got the highest DC and think its the most powerful lol.
Wouldn't have guessed the RY, what makes you think that? but you are probably right lol.

I remember it getting talked about a lot when it was released, IIRC there are a fair few posters here that have one, some good magazine reviews of it & being made for a total rocker like Steve Stevens can't hurt either :)

I'd be interested to know how popular the Holy Diver is - it's by far my favourite, but for a time it seemed like hardly anyone had them (certainly on this forum).

It deserves to be very popular, but I admit that I'm biased  :)

Guilty as charged... If by 'metal' you mean Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, etc...

Since the pickups are built on order (correct me if I'm wrong) then surely it doesn't really matter is nobody ever buys a certain pickup - Not like they're going to have a load of sultans lying around right?

But I agree that all pickups should be given representations - Presumeably that's what the new site will do =)

To the person who mentioned seymour duncans site having clips of every pickup....

Have you never noticed that all the clips sound nearly identical?

They are highly suspect, to say the least ...

I was listening to some of their Tele clips the other day and could hear the difference - not dramatic, but then there shouldn't be much difference between two vintage-output Tele pickups.

(Not that I'm appointing myself Defender of Seymour or anything...   )

Totally. The differences between them can also be had by changing cable, string brand, or slight tweaking of EQ.

But isn't that also going to be the case when we get the BKP clips?  There's not going to be a vast difference between the PG Blues and the Stormy Monday, or the Mothers Milks and the Sultans.  It's not going to be night and day.

Yeah, there'll be a big difference between the Mule and the Warpig - but presumably there also is between the Duncan Jazz and the Invader.

At first listen, yeah they're very similar but they are all very different once you listen to them repeatedly - as I did before I decided to buy BKP's.

I think you're going to be surprised at a) how perceptive your ear really is when directly comparing the clips and b) how even a small difference in frequency response changes the way you perceive a pickup's tonal character.

(Yes, I've heard some of the clips)
