I've had a hearing test

and I'm not deaf!!! *faints*

specsavers round here are offering free hearing tests, probably to try and sell OAPs hearing aids

I do have some minor loss, but not enough to be labelled deaf, the graphs weren't in dba, I think it was dbmh or something sounding like that, anyway -20 meant deaf, I was -6 in 2 mid frequencies and -10 in bass and treble (I think, it might have been -3 and -6)

my ears have always been slightly blocked up with wax, never really got round to fixing that but I think it's a mild benefit with the amount of gigs and going out I do

very mild ringing is apparently normal too

i have a few issues with wax and stuff in mine.. anyway my old ma has just done a training course in hopi ear candle therapy.. so i spent quite a bit of time last sunday with candles in my ears.

it  doesnt actually remove the wax as some think but it supposed to help drainage.  bit of a weird sensation but it was quite nice and my ears were definately clearer the next day.. and strangely my sense of smell was better as well :?

was a regular drum'n'bass DJ for some years. maybe its paranoia but i feel as if some of the top of my hearing is definately gone, comparing to my friends and so on. should have been more careful.

When I was younger I had really weird high frequency hearing or soemthing. lots of earaches etc. I think my hearing range is just a tad higher or something, I always struggle to tune the low E as precisely as others strings by ear :?
