Les Paul Pickup position options ?

hey I have pair of mules in my les paul and since I do not like much treble in my sound, I was getting tired of my bridge pickup being too "trebly" for my tastes. So I reversed the bridge pickup so the pole is looking toward the neck and not the bridge ( like the standard setting) Would this be OK ? and any Ideas on reducing the treble and putting more bass in for my bridge pickup except changing EQs on Amp or using Tone controls ?

Reversing the pickup wont do any harm at all, but it won't have a dramatic effect on the sound, I shouldn't think.

You could try replacing the bridge pickup's 500K volume pot with a 250K, that should round it out a little (if it's a Gibson LP the pot may well already be 300K, so check first if you can).

What amp are you using?

You might want to consider getting a bass guitar by the sounds of things

Selector switch in middle position, and put the rythme vol on about 4-5?

I would have thought mules weren't very bright to start with though :?
