I actually really liked one of those semi-hollow artcore's I played a while ago!

And Nolly- it looks cool! Remember to keep us updated when it's all done though.

Here's a pic of the body halfway through the staining process then! According to Doug you see different aspects of the grain when you look at it from different angles. I reckon the ivoroid binding will really set it off.

Yeah I guess it's a better pic.. I just like how you can see that crinkly figuring really clearly in the other one. Still ahve to decide on a fretboard wood for it...

I agree- that's a much better pic!

I can kinda see what Doug is saying even from the photo (I think)- sometimes the horizontal quilt stands out, but then at times the vertical figuring is more prominent. Nice.

And I quite like the flat bottom!

EDIT: Ebony fretboard for sure!

I know, I'm tempted to maybe go for one instead of a Ran 7, but either way, if I get a Ran 7, it'll be with a similar finish to this :D
