Matt black covers with no holes

Can you make PU's with matt black covers with now screws ala EMG or the same on the burnt/blue chrome finished covers?

How would this generally effect the tone?

Sure, we can do that.
You'll lose the adjutable pole but the tone won't be that drastically different from a regular covered humbucker.Slightly, and I mean slightly, more high end roll off.
