A bit shocked to see this

unfortunately i aint quite in the position to buy this back and hold onto it untill i can sell it but i just had an email from a guy in holland asking about a guitar this shop is selling

http://www.theguitarworkshop.co.uk/

Its not on the website but the guitar body was built by me for one of the tutors at the shop to go with a NOS tokai neck he had - a very nice neck it was too.  It was all put together by me as well.  Pickups are Seymours - Jazz in the neck and a rail pickup i cant remember in the bridge

apparently its up for £299!!!  I havnt seen the guitar in about 8 months so not sure of condition now but it still looks good in the photos!!

anyway, obviously a guy in holland is after it... but i thought i would let you all know just incase he changes his mind.

How much did you originally charge for the body?
"Would you like some lemon oil?"
"Oh, no thanks, I don't eat fruit."

i cant remember exactly - less than £200 but the guy is a repeat customer  and the shop had been helpfull to me in the past so i threw in the maple top and black burst as a freebie

He is definately making a loss on it at this price but i guess the tokai on the headstock  and the fact its essentially a frankenstien dictates the resale value... he does tend to buy and sell guitars pretty often as a tutor working in a guitar shop so i guess he just needs some money at this moment in time or wants a new toy- and he still has a LP junior i built... I think!!

The only thing i never liked about this guitar was the rail pickup in the bridge - the neck SD was godly and i tried to convince him to go for something else to compliment it better

I remember that!

It's gorgeous!

If I had a spare £300 I would snatch it up in the blink of an eye.

i noticed that on ebay. I'm after a tele, just not one with a neck humbucker (figure i'd rather have a "real" tele first   )

Does look like a kickass deal though. those old tokai necks are nice, and I'm sure your (guitar) body is awesome, wez. :)

Wish i could sell something to get it, oh well!

I'm not sure... The look isn't really 'me', and I'm not liking the look of the radius of that fretboard...
But then again i bet she sounds great (but i'd have to change the bridge pickup for a singlecoil. might be a bit too much hassle)

i cant remember the neck specs exactly but its pretty much vintage fender territory so the radius is probably a bit tighter than a modern tele

I always said the bridge pickup should be changed but its only two wires to do it!!..

I couldnt make he guitar as cheap as this is going for.
