Another abortion of a "reverse" guitar from Gibson

Would it be entirely cynical to suppose Gibson is using this and the reverse V to mop up an overbuild of Left-Hand bodies?

You know something? .... You may be right there, with the leftie explorer body theory but to deepen this conspiracy a bit more, take a look at this Moderne - a right handed Moderne - and look closely at the headstock.

Ignore the tuner placement.

 .... and compare.

Notice anything?

The headstock on the new guitar has a left handed Moderne neck.

I was just thinking that's one of the ugliest, most ridiculous guitars I've ever laid eyes on (and spot on, HTB, about the surfeit of left-hand bodies).

Then I saw them... the inlays at the 5th and 12th frets.  Just look at those things, and tell me have you ever seen anything more totally$%&#ingstupid in your entire life?

Gibson really are taking the piss.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds

^^LOL!

Okay, so... left handed explorer bodies, left handed Moderne necks.

Bang them together, knock up a scratchplate (and some distressed pickup covers?)

What are the tuners? Are they the Steinberger ones? Have they used them on any other guitars?

Could this be an almost entirely spare-stock guitar!?

More freaky animal pics needed!!!!!

Drink half a bottle of vodka.

Then find the ugliest, palest, most dried-up piece of rosewood in your scr@pwood pile, and make it into a fretboard.  Scribble in between some of the frets with a black marker.

Drink the rest of the bottle of vodka.

Then slap all the parts together and call it a "Guitar Of The Month".  Don't worry, they'll buy any old shitee.

Laugh all the way to the bank.  And on the way, have a think about what we can do with those old Corvus bodies.  And those funny slanted Nighthawk pickups.

Reverse explorer's can be pretty 80's and cool lookin, but the headstock and colour scheme etc. on that just make it hideous.
