The black tolex orange cabs are the best looking cabs i've ever seen!

Can't explain how good it sounds either!

I've not got much experience of different cabs but based off other people's opinions for a 2x12 cab for metal I'd say something well made, closed back, with vintage 30 speakers, I'd suggest orange, engl, or bogner, (I only have experience of the engl)

I can't recommend the Orange enough. It has a very full and tight sound, which should work nicely with the bright Laney.

Well, any Orange dealer can order them at no extra charge, but you may have to wait a bit for them to actually make it. Mine took a little over a month to arrive.

I'd seriously have a look at Matamp cabs. About the same price as an Orange cab. Very, very nicely made, and you can choose your tolex AND speakers.
Martin at Martamp (http://www.martamp.com/) may be able to get you exactly the same cab, but slightly cheaper. It's worth a chat to him - he works at Matamp too by the way.
I have a Martamp (but made by Jeff at Matamp) rear-ported 2x12 (very similar to the THD cab). It's a very nicely made cab, and sounds great.
The beauty of a rear-ported design is that you can get the "thunk" of a closed- back cab, but in aslightly smaller, more portable package.

whats wrong with it bob? :P

You suspicious sod; :) There's nothing wrong with it except for the G12T-75. It's just gathering dust and taking up valuable space.

I'm thinking about getting a second 2x12 myself so I can use one cab if I'm short of space in the car or both if I'm not.

Has anyone tried the flat-pack cab from here...

Thanks for the link. I had no idea they existed. Anyone know where they are in the UK ?   Those flatpack kits look very interesting, espec the 1x12 - nicely oversized. Great price too !
