Ceramic/alnico warpig or Painkiller in PRS custom 22

I have a custom 22 PRS and a bogner uberschall! I cannot decide which pickup to get. I'm looking for something punchy, organic, thick and juicy(smooth highs). The painkiller seems real punchy but might be to flaky in the highs, where the ceramic pig is pretty punchy & smooth. Will a ceramic pig sound good in a prs or is it overkill?

I'm always going to say ceramic warpig, it's my favourite pickup by far! Sounded great in my 5150 II, and does in my Egnater too

If you want smooth highs it's probably good to stear clear of the ceramics. I think you're more in the ballpark of Nailbomb, Holy Diver, or Crawler depending if you want your emphasis on the high, low, or mid -mids.

Anything other than ceramic is not going to be strong enough for what I like. Well there's the alnico warpig but I think its probably to warm for the prs. Thats where the ceramic pig comes into play! i prefer alnico pickups, BUT ceramics work better for smoother hi gain amps
his tone is already very dense and tight, so i believe it would be better to stick with ceramics

Painkillers work very well in PRS'. I have one in my Standard 24 and it does pretty much everything you're asking for. the painkiller I have is covered though so the highs are slightly rounded off a touch so maybe consider that?

I put a set of alcino warpigs in my custom 24 recently, and i must say i am more than happy with it, sounds much less sterile better than the HFS and vintage bass, nowhere near as sterile, and bottom end that kills.

Thanx for everybody's input. it's greatly appreciated!! I'm getting an SG soon, thinking of putting the painkiller in the SG(little heavier strings and tune down to C, should be good for those highs). And putting the Ceramic pig in the PRS which is tuned to D. I'm still indecisive but  thinking i'm on the rigt path.....Thanx again!

i don't really think you can go much wrong with the choices people have gave you. Alot of people favour pigs in SG's though, including myself, i still get plenty of clarity and i tune in D standard
