The pics that got me interested in PRS were the vintage mahogany single cut P90 pics on the PRS website. I love the wooden grain and colour.

I have been looking for a vintage mahogany standard 22 or 24 in the dark mahogany shown in the PRS website. Unfortunately I cant find any darker then that shown in the standard 24 20th aniv pics (which is still lovely).

Does anyone know if they actually exist? ive seen a few now and none are anywhere near as dark as this.

Promo photos can be enhanced to catch peoples eyes, like they have on yours. But nonetheless I'm sure such a dark wood exists.

Not really helpful, but thought I would post that.

Can the colour be enhanced after production by a luthier? or rubbing down and re applying another finish to darken the finish?

I'd say that they're actually the same colour, it's just there's strong natural light on the Standard. I seem to remember the promo pics looking darker. The Standard Satin 22 and 24 both come in Vintage Mahogany finish.

That's what I was going to say.

I've seen one of those singlecuts in person, and depending on the light it can look very dark/very orangey.

I've seen a simlar Gibson LP Studio in my local music shop, I'm not a great fan of it, but the finish was very similar to that, very eye catching and I was initailly drawn to it, but it just doesn't quite do it for me.
