I know that the Warpigs can do metal like Pantera and brutal stuff as well, but how about some clips of it playing some classic rock or even some clean stuff?

I want to be sure that I can cover all of the bases. Thanks

I'd look into Nailbombs if you're worried about the classic rock and clean sounds. I hear they do those pretty well. It all depends on what you do more of. I was torn between the two myself but I wanted to stay more on the harder side of things so I went with the Warpigs. They can do clean and less gain tones ok but they're not meant for it from my experience.

Well I'll mostly be playing stuff like Pantera, old Metallica, Opeth (which sometimes requires cleans), Arch Enemy, Children of Bodom, Black Label Society, Candlemass, and Iced Earth (/ giant list of bands), but I also occaisonally play stuff like Alice in Chains, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Clapton, SRV etc. Would the Warpigs be able ot pull this off better than a set of EMG 81/85's (I'm not going to get them, but just as a comparison)?

There is a warpig clean jazz clip in here if you search for it. Don't know who its by, but it was good clean sound

That would be awesome if you could get a recording!

I just realized that there are both ceramic and alnico versions, don't know which one would better handle the different tones but still be able to put out the Dimebag harmonic squeels. All of the places that I can find them online only offers the alnico version. If I want the ceramic version to I just mention it to them and they will special order it?

Or use the shop right here on the site. I'd say if you're up for something versatile, get the alnico version. It does sound tight enough for death metal (IE Antag's latest WP clip) but has enough warmth for good cleans aswell. As for medium gain, I don't think Ive heard it doing that yet, but we'll see.

Ok, I now know that they will be fine for the cleaner stuff as well, but alnico or ceramic? I love the Pantera tone, and really like lots of harmonics, but I need a ballsy, bassy tone that isn't muddy. I know that the A5's can do that part, but can they do the harmonic's? Thanks
