Help an aspiring guitarist??
« on: March 12, 2008, 08:08:22 PM »
Hello everybody!
I have a question that has been eating my brain ever since i got serious about playing guitar with my band...I play mostly funky rock type stuff, think Chili peppers style. My question is what pickups do John Fruscainte use????
I am dying to know! All i know as of yet is that his middle pickup is reverse polarity (which i can get my head around) but i cant seem to find the answer to this question i have...I run a mexican strat (stock everything) through a Vox AD50VT-212 which i find very tasty indeed. What rigs do you guys run??
I thought instead of buying another fender i'll just put some badass pickups into the one ive got know(which i adore)...what do you reckon?

Any answers, opinions or constructive criticisms that anybody can give me would be so greatly appreciated and thanks to anyone who does!!

'Shontay uses late 50s, early 60s strats. So unless you want to buy some proper vintage pickups your choices are BKP Apaches or Mother's Milks. The MMs give you the RHCP tone fo' sho'
Mississippi Queens, Holydiver.
