Does this look dodgy to anyone?

It's part of a house clearance sale but the wording on the listing sounds a bit dodgy. What does everyone reckon?

I think I hate being indecisive.

My best guess would be the listing was written by someone whose first language (and possibly even second language) is not English. However, it's not so much the way it's written, but what it says that I'd be concerned about. I don't like: 'We can't arrange for collection' - it's an amp, and will cost a fair bit to post; I like 'We may not answer your email' even less. It's cheap, but best left alone I'd say.

Plus it's a Valvestate  PDT_047

I would disagree with Simon on this.

The wording is just not in full sentences- quite common on ebay listings. And not everyone does offer collections- not surprising seeing as it seems to be an exclusively online store.

Not answering e-mails is a bit annoying and not great practice though I would agree.

It says not tried or tested which is the main thing that would worry me to be honest. I don't think you'd have any issues with the actual seller.

^All fair points well made. I simply called it like I saw it - I'm one of those people who is overly suspicious by nature I guess. People not writing in full sentences always pushes the wrong buttons for me  - I'm a writer/sub editor, so I can't get away from that, it's in the blood.

I agree though, the main worry would have to be buying it and finding the damn thing doesn't work.

I got as far as London - would love to go back, in many ways.  Swansea town centre seems to have changed a lot, but Mumbles is exactly the same as it was 40 years ago, it's like a time capsule.  :)
