By the way my Shiva's Bias was way off (22mA) and just readjusted it and it sounds purely awesome. Guess bias drifts from time to time and when you play the amp every day you might not realise it's off. Gwem regarding bass on the VHIIs, hmmm, I'd say they have a tighter bass but is not very boomy. The Blackdog has a lot of mids but the VHII seems a bit more even in its frequency response. I would describe it as more crunchy whereas the Blackdogs can be punchier with the right guitar. I would say if your guitar is light/bright, rather get VHIIs, if it's dark and meaty, get BlackDogs.
