proud to add Mother's Milk
« on: March 26, 2008, 03:16:31 AM »
to the collection..my strat had been gathering dust(its a Fender Hendrix Woodstock reissue-it had Kinmans in it..)Thanks to Jason at Peerlesstone for the help-was thinking about Apache's,but he turned me on to the Milk and I am glad he did!sooo full sounding, and it sounds great in all positions-very balanced across the spectrum-I havent had a chance for a full test drive yet, but I could tell instantly..before I even adjusted them..that they were a big improvement
the Kinmans were a little too hot for me..wanted to get bqck to a big vintage strat tone(my Pauls do the rawkkk!) and I have found it
-best Strat pups I have played period :)

No! But I'll join you in gassing for some Mothers Milks! I fancy another strat with a roller nut and trem. I love Jeff Beck's stuff and would love to have a go at trem and volume swells.  8)

..well, here they are....very spot  on in the cleans..I had Kinmans in this before, but they were a little too hot for me-I wanted this strat to sound like a strat, and it does now!!!not enough time in the saddle yet, but I did get to dial in some sweet clean tones today...ooooh, some 6th and 9th chords and it was heaven! very well balanced and full..not thin
