If it's an open back cab, I found my Chinese one a little bright in my 2x12 with a port.  I believe there's no noticeable difference in tone based on where they were made.

I've only owned chinese ones, but by mnay reports that I have read there is no tonal difference between the English and Chinese-made ones.
Remember these are BRIGHT speakers, especially when new, and they they can seem to take almost forever to break in.
If you are trying to tame the brightness in a Fender, they are not the speaker to use.
Fenders also tend to be slightly mid-scooped. So do G12H-30's. This also makes them not a great pairing.

IF you are trying to tame the brightness of the amp a little, maybe try an Eminence Cannabis Rex, or a G12-65 (which has even less treble, but a very full midrange).
