I have a Bad Horsie at the moment that I am very happy with, although I don't use a lot of Wah. I got it because I really like the idea of just treading on the pedal to get going without having to click forward.
Back in the 80's I used to use an Ibanez WH10 that I thought sounded great - but being made of plastic, it was not up to gigging night after night and the pedal snapped!

I got a basic bog standard £59 Jim Dunlop one, and it's not great, but for a quid shy of £60 I shan't argue, it needs a true bypass though. I shall have to look that stuff up and dust off mr soldering iron.

The wah sounds I really dig are on "Band of Gypsies" and "Electric Ladyland".

George dennis, orange coloured wah. The guitarist in my band used one and it was awesome, it had a really deep sweep on it, almost had to dislocate your ankle to get all the way up!!!

Morley Bad Horsie, I like the swtichness but when the heel is all the way back it gets really quiet and sometimes the spring doesn't spring all the way back, I'd like to change it for something different but having owned a CryBaby, I was really put off.

I'd let 'em off on this, everybody copies each other when it comes to wahs! it has a zero return spring or something to bring the pedal back to the same point - at least they've done a bit of R&D!

Gotta have a wah, dude!  (Well, I think so anyway :)).  If I could only have one toy to add to the guitar+amp, it'd definitely be a wah. Egregious and flagrant wah abuse always pricks up my ears when I'm listening to music. :)

I remember on one of the first demos I was recording, lo! these many years ago, in some studio in Boston, and when it came time to overdub some lead I thought, "Gee, I oughta back off on the tastelessly over-the-top wah blasting and show some mature restraint."

Then I thought: "Wait, this is my demo, and need please no one but me!  Let there be wah!"

And there was, and it was mighty fine.  Or I liked it, anyway

Morely Bad Horsies sound ace, I just couldn't get on with the spring not returning all the way and the lack of volume when the heel was down.

I've been thinkin about getting one of those for a while now. Is it true/very good bypass?
