The Classic NB Bridge/CS Neck through a pocket POD!!
« on: April 04, 2008, 09:35:07 PM »
Borrowed a pocket pod off my mate to see what it was like.

It's really cool for the portability. However, it is fiddly to use and change settings. But, I came up with this:-

Oh and its just plugged directly in to the pc and the drums and bass are midi. The rhythm guitar is the nailbomb and the lead is the cold sweat with some delay and 'verb  :)

Enjoy!

That was great! Reminds me of those female fronted metal bands, except it doesn't suck.  :D

Awesome tone from the pocket pod! That's amazing for something that sells for £70!!! I would go so far as to say it's getting close to the quality sounds you can get out of an XT. You must really know how to work that little beast, hehe.

Thanks a lot man. Those are sliding taps (is that the official name?!). I tried to make it as fluid as possible so theirs lots of legato and sliding:-

I've noted most of the phrasing i think. The T's stand for the taps with my right (picking hand).

Whoo! That's great - nice playing.

I've been using an XTLive for a couple of years now. When they brought out the pocket POD, I wrote it off as a toy. Added to that I already have a POD 2 back in it's box somewhere anyway (the Pocket POD's models are from the 2, I believe).

But those sounds are great - makes me think perhaps I'd like some portable tones after all!

I'd be wary of saying that near TO; he could bend your guitar in half and use it to sodomize you judging purely from his avatar!

I said "those" female fronted metal bands, implying the goth/fake-opera/sympho bands. I've played in 3 female fronted bands myself.
