New Guitar Day (Blackmachine content)
« on: April 05, 2008, 12:31:18 AM »
I was going to make an extravagant, sarcastic, and highly amusing picstory to introduce my new beast, but now it comes down to it, I can't really be arsed.

- 100yr old swamp reclaimed quilt maple top (1.1cm thick)
- 40yr old mahogany body, with 5 chambers
- rosewood neck, w/ebony fillets, ebony fingerboard
- Bareknuckle Painkiller set, 3-way coil-split mini-toggle
- Gotoh hardware, gunmetal
- DR Tite-fit Jeff Healey signatures 10-56, tuned to drop C

I can honestly say it is the best guitar I have seen, played, or heard. I simply cannot get over it.

There are more pictures on the Blackmachine website, but they do make the guitar look alot more gaudy than it does in the flesh.

I had trouble breathing when I saw those pics... I'd have a bleedin' heart attack if I saw it in person.

Cheers guys, believe it or not it actually looks even better in person. It really is stunning beyond belief.

Posh, the PGM is pretty much relegated to backup guitar status. The sheer tone of the Blackmachine is unreal, there's absolutely no contest between the two.

Christ! It's beautiful.

You're a lucky man.

And i think it's safe to say that is nicest blackmachine i have seen too. The best of the best..

And i LOVE the contoured top bit where it sort of eats in to and takes over the binding. Seriously cool. And the headstock of course  :P

I'm sure if you'd put the word "Blackmachine" in the title of this thread you'd have 2 or 3 pages of praise and drooling by now!  :D

Blackmachines aren't really my cup of tea (that's not meant as a criticism!), but it's a beautiful looking guitar, that's for sure!  :)
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds

I remember trying one out ages ago at an LGS event.

Not my cup of tea but it's certainly a beast of a guitar! Shame I used a Diezel amp :P. The Blackmachine felt awesome!

I bet it must've cost at least £1500.

There we go, the title has now been changed.

Posh, when I picked up the blackmachine, I got to have a long go through both a VH4 and a Herbert and AB them with my Cobra. I still dislike the Herbert, but the VH4 was completely different to how I remember it - it was actually a bloody nice amp...

Oh, and £1500 isn't even close tbh..

It's a really nice guitar
I was playing it on Tuesday prior to taking the photos that you see on the BM website.
I like the natural light photos that you have taken - looks more subtle than the ones we did with studio lighting
That maple cap is something else - and very expensive (not something you find around evry day).

Really hope you enjoy it - it's a nice piece of work
