It really depends what you're trying to do with it but it should calibrate fairly well.If the TS mid is RWRP, you'll get quite a nice hum cancelling tone in pos 2 as well.
When mix 'n' matching single coils it's best to zone in on how you use each position in natural playing. Strats inherent weakness is the bridge p/up.....originally back in the '50s all 3 coils were the same and, despite angling the bridge p/up to try and thicken the tone,the bridge coil always came out sounding too brittle-down to the guitar construction and the fact that the strings move more over the other 2 coils.I tend to direct my attention at the bridge coil when I'm voicing a set......get that tone right, and I mean for your personal application, and the other coils follow along quite easily.
