Thought some of you folks might be interested in this.  A great demo of just how versatile (and great!) the PRS Mira sounds:

The Mira

And yes, they really do sound great wherever you put the controls!

I might be interested if they added a low B string and cut $1000 off the price.

For the record, my Crawler loaded lp sounds good no matter how you put the controls. That's probably more because of the pickups than the craftmanship though.

Yeah, he comes across as a really nice bloke whenever I've seen him in vids.

Just had to go and play my Mira after posting this - they rock

So it sounds good, let's hope it's got a bit more vibe about it than the rest of their lineup.

Then all we need is one without a scratchplate and a proper scale length

Yeah, we'll have to wait 20-30 years for the full mojo to show itself but in the meantime I'll just have to put up with the impeccable build, near perfect intonation, fantastic playability, super resonance, classy tones.....................

Hey, I can't help if I look for more in a guitar than a price tag

Yep. 5 years-full-time-musician's worth of function and wedding bands, I never once pushed those machine heads above that perfect 4th down.

The guitar in that clip sounds great.

I dunno why, I just don't really like the look of them

Just had a look on Ebay, and was pleasantly surprised to see new Miras for less than £1000. THink it's the 1st USA PRS I've seen for less than about £1200 new.

That is one dynamic sounding guitar. To be honest, I'm not much of a fan of the shape/look, but purely down to personal taste - I don't think it's an ugly guitar or anything. However, the sound is something else entirely - fantastic.

You know, when I first saw it, I thought it was really cheap looking, like a junior or "special" Gibson. But it's appearance has grown on me. I really like the body contours, it seems somewhere in between a flat-top and a carved top.
But what's with that neck-joint? I've noticed that on only PRS's, that they leave the neck unshaped from 19th fret and up. Is there a stability reason for this? I don't really see a reason for it, but there could be something I dont know.

Not that I'd ever buy a Mira, it's certainly priced a whole lot higher than what I'd allow myself to spend on a guitar, but I consider it a thumbs up to PRS anyway.

Am I the only one thinks Mike Ault looks like Glenn Frey?
