I've been promising some Crawler clips, well, here they are.

Guitar: Yamaha SG400 with black covered Crawlers.
Amp: Fender HRDLX + 2X12. bass:8, mid:9, treble:9.5, precence:9.5, volume:2, reverb:3 (knobs go up to 12)
OD: H&F TF. drive on max, voicing on max, output 9:30 'o clock.
Recording: Shure SM57 mic on the 2X12 into mixer (flat EQ) into tape deck then recorded to computer.

The first track is the first part of AC/DC's 'What do you do for your money, honey?' Bridge pickup, factor 1 of the TF throughout, no reverb.

Second track is Sum41's 'Fat Lip'. Also bridge pickup, Factor 2 of the TF except for the clean part, tuning: drop D.

The last track is 'Can't stop' by the Chilli Peppers. Again the bridge pickup. Factor 1 of the TF, solo on Factor 2.

Recording quality isn't that great (I need new tapes and a new deck) but the clips really show the versitility of the Crawler pickups.

On the AC/DC clip there's another guitar on the backing track. A second guitar comes in once in a while on the Fat Lip track as well. The main riff and clean part is all mine. My guitar is the loud one. 8)  All backing tracks are provided by Total Guitar.

Can't Stop is really only one guitar. Took me two hours to get it somewhat right. There's still a couple of slip ups in there. But hey, as if the Peppers do it flawless live.

I'm glad y'all like the clips.

Thanks guys.

I'm getting some glitches when I play the tracks, they skip a little here and there. They were fine yesterday. Has anyone else noticed this or is it just my computer?

Gotta love that Tube Factor. Great sound shaping tool. Set the voicing at 12 o' clock, drive at 2 o' clock and it does a pretty good tube screamer impression. I always have the voicing maxed on it for a big ballsy sound.

In fact, the settings are exactly the same as on my Warpig clips. It's just a different guitar with different pickups.

Thanks again guys. I love compliments but it's making me blush  .

I wish I had some proper recording stuff, like on the official BKP clips. It's such a shame the true tone of my setup doesn't come through properly.

That's why bought some semi proper stuff but i'm still learning how to use it all! First you need to learn the sound enginner stuff. Then the software and it's long winded but well worth it!

Huge sound on the second clip - fantastic. The sound on the last one was nothing like the original (to my ears) but a great tone in it's own right. Nice one.

The original is an old Strat. My point with this clip was that the Crawlers can do pretty much whatever you throw at them. The versatility of these pickups are amazing. I've thrown everything at them, from Elvis to Metallica. They sound great no matter what you play. I guess they are the humbucking brother of the Trilogy. Modern versitile tone.

(I hope our lead guitarist doesn't read this, but I think my old Yamaha blew away his stock LP tonight, at band practice  )
