Brian May burns trisonic pickup enquiry
« on: September 01, 2005, 05:19:59 PM »
Hi,
One of my guitar students has got a Burns Brian May electric,it has the trisonic pickups.I was telling him about the BK stuff and he wondered if these could be rewound to a higher output. He wants more output and more drive. He isnt to concerned about keeping the same voicing.Have you had any experince with these pups?Cheers, steve.

To be honest, no but I know there is a guy who advertises under the name of Adeson who is the expert in this field.Like we do with humbuckers and single coils, he's obsessed with vintage detail and builds/rewinds them to spec.

from reading a review of the burns guitar, they just seemed to be higher output singles with shed loads of switching options...
