i like how the headstock came out - its extra thick so i recessed the tuners.  with them being locking sperzels less post is needed above the face anyway

the point in making it thicker was  because i wanted an effect similar to  one of those fat finger devices.. more mass at the headstock means it increases sustain as less string energy is wasted making the headstock flap about.  Now i am not obsessed with massive amounts of sustain, you can buy a sustainer for that... but this really does work and was noticable from the first note i played on it.

Wez, do you believe it can be done with any tuner? (thinking in copy your idea  :P   )
Have you worked with Planet Waves Auto Trim tuners?

I don't get tired of say: this is an amazing guitar!!! Lady, you'd better watch for it, if a fat, strange guy appear in your street, better kill him before he gets your guitar!    :D

it should work with the planet waves, you might not even need to recess them.. measure the tuners and draw an accurate plan

My Wez made guitar is finally ready

You are one lucky prozacbear.  If that guitar plays and sounds half as good as it looks (and I'm sure it will!), that's going to be a real killer guitar.  Congratulations.

Great design, and a stunning piece of work.

I think that in it's own right, it's a beautiful guitar.
A bit too minimalistc to my taste, and it has some feats i wouldn't want, but as i said, a beautiful guitar nonetheless.
congratulations

No, it's got all the controls you need!

I really like the way the spalt (it really is spalt this time, isn't it?) looks almost like a stylised flames pattern.

Beautiful in a very "rough" natural sort of way. You need to take it to the woods for some nature pics.

yeah definately spalt this time philly... although kind of not as well.

its been acrylised, its a special process involving acrylic polymers, high pressure and a curing process to make it completely solid and stable... but still very woody.  technically it doesnt need a finish as it can just be buffed up but we wouldnt have got the burst that way

it actually contributes to the sound more like it was rosewood or something like that and its a great process for expanding the choice of fretboard woods.  like this spalted maple fretboard on an ACG fretless bass
