Watched Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs today, well above average animated film, not in the Pixar league but well worth a watch for fans of the genre.

I do like that one rather a lot. It's on a near constant repeat in my house (my daughter, not me!). It's top stuff on Blu-Ray.

 Thanks for that Ian

One day my niece was looking though my DVDs, a few days latter by brother told me she asked him "Why does Uncle Ken have so many Childrens DVDs, he's too old to be watching those."  :?

The reason I mentioned it is that Disturbia is basically a rip-off of Rear Window - but with some tedious teen shenanigans in place of tension and excitement...  :|

yeah, probably.

Not a film but I'm currently addicted to Band of Brothers, just over halfway through now. So good.

Yep, we've had it for several years now, must have watched it all something like 5 or 6 times. Seems to be acceptable to other-halves as well, Mrs R is very fond of it.

If you like space stuff, the other HBO/Tom Hanks thing, From The Earth To The Moon, is as almost good.

So I finally saw Avatar this morning, in 3-D at the IMAX.

My expectations weren't high, and I wasn't at all surprised to find it's basically a mega-budget remake of FernGully: The Last Rainforest.....

But I don't care about that... it's an astonishing piece of work and by the end I felt absolutely overwhelmed.  Amazing.

BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

I tried to watch Watchmen last night but found it $%&#ing boring, I couldn't even make myself watch it all! The main narration voice is more annoying than Christian Bale's Batman as well.

I got about an hour int it and gave up. I found myself huffing more than the big bad wolf.

  Did you like it though? (Avatar not FernGully!)  I don't feel like I'll still be thinking about it tomorrow, but while you're actually watching it it's breathtaking.

I really liked Watchmen by the way (though maybe I'd feel differently if I'd read the book, I don't know).

Two epics in one day - I just watched John Woo's Red Cliff.  Best thing he's done in many a year.

I've read it, its very good, but I actually prefer the ending of the movie (I also realise i'm in an extreme minority by thinking that).

Still not seen Avatar, should really get around to it though, they can't keep it in cinemas that much longer can they?

Watched Up the other night. I enjoyed it, but didn't quite see what all the fuss was about.
