I know what you mean Wez. But tbh I'm sure we could do without most kids who do hang around on street corners/in underpasses :P

yeah, i am sure they are all up to no good.... but then i remember hanging around on the streets as a youth getting up to all kinds of stuff i wouldn't tell my mother.  we didnt have an underpass, but parks and bus shelters

i am also on first name terms with most of the dodgy looking youths around here, i know there are bad elements - but it really is a tiny minority.  most of the ones that would scare your granny are decent enough when you get past the facade.

Lemmy - A good documentary of the Rock legend that at times is more of a love letter. I think non-fans would find it hard to stay with the film and those who are fans will already be familiar with the content. Lemmy comes across as a fun loving, tough living, fan devoted guy who lives a life he wants. Trivia fans - it looks like Lemmy's fragrance of choice is Chanel Allure Homme (maybe Sport or Edition Blanche flankers, I didn't freeze frame for a better look!).

Shutter Island
I'd been semi-tipped-off about the "twist", but I think I probably would've seen it coming anyway....
Extremely well-made by all concerned, and if you go back and re-watch it you realise how subtle and clever some of the performances are (nice work from Mark Ruffalo).  But it left me a bit unmoved, as Scorsese's films often do.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds

Watched a really terrible ninja film called Ninja Squad. It's by this guy called Godfrey Ho who seems to make loads of very, very bad ninja films  I just can't tell if they're trying to be serious or just spoofs.

Also finished Sons of Anarchy season 1 last night. Didn't really like it at first but I've started to get on with it a bit better now - good ending!

Soul Men - Bernie Mac and Samuel L Jackson 'buddy comedy', while there are some decent gags and the two leads perform well, the film is just poor.

Awesome film.  Really great.

I really looked forward to seeing it after watching the trailer but found the film disappointing. Same with Due Date which i watched with the other half last night.

I also watched Due Date the other night. It has its moments, but not really something out of the ordinary.

Straight A: Actually I liked this. Quite an ordinary teenage movie, but then again not (can't explain why).

The Other Guys: Made me laugh a few times, but doesn't stand out in the crowd. I liked Due Date better.

Cars: It has some funny moments and I understand why my 3½-year-old nephew is going bonkers over Lightning McQueen. But all in all it's just the typical Disney concept in new wrappings. Friendship/love is better than personal gain/success, which is a great message, but all the films are just so damn predictable.
Mississippi Queens, Stormy Monday/Apaches, Emeralds, Nailbomb (bridge)

also it doesn't help that presumably disney is making a packet out of the films and not making them for the friendship/love of kids...

The Social Network - As good as reported, though not the most original film (Citizen Kane is an obvious inspiration, Pirates of Silicon Valley another). The wonderfully sharp, witty and entertaining scripts has to be one of the best in recent times, though I could have done without the knowing nod to geeks like "Time to open Emacs and edit the Perl script". Excellent, a must-see film.

Just started watching The Sopranos. First episode is a bit slow. I'll stick with it though as it took me a while to get into The Wire.
I think I hate being indecisive.

If you don't like Sopranos after the first 4 or 5 episodes you probably wont like it. If you like things like Mad Men you probably will.

I finally got around to watching Piranha 3D but in 2D

It's actually alot better than I was expecting tbh, and features a few choice scenes that fans of Kelly Brook will appreciate  :D

It wasn't a cinematic masterpiece, it was never going to be was it, but I can think of worse things to watch for 90 minutes (Zombie Strippers for example!)
