not a good move, if i can say it... :)

I'm still confused, did you actually like Avatar or not?  :? :P

i did, definitely...

i meant that it wasn't a particularly good move not to see it, but it's a great movie, in my opinion... ;)

I had a laddish night of Rock n Rolla followed by Die Hard.
Rocknrolla was funny and well acted, but could have done with being 30 minutes longer to flesh out some aspects of the story and to give it a proper ending.
I realised that though I've seen Die Hard countless times on TV I'd never actually seen the first 10 minutes :o

OK, glad we've cleared that up!  :)  I intend to see it (though I suspect I may not like it), but I want to see it at the IMAX and it's fully booked for weeks!  I might have to take an afternoon off work just to see it.

I'm off to see The Road on Wednesday. I may go to see The Book of Eli later in the week.

I saw The Road yesterday.  That was really good, a very sad film.  I was worried about seeing 2 films with a similar setting being a bit samey, but they're very very different :)

I think I'll be on a downer this week then! Watched Children of men last night and that was pretty depressing!
I think I hate being indecisive.

Just watched Waltz with Bashir, I'm been waiting to see it for some time and wasn't disappointed. Excellent film but not one for those looking for something up-beat.

Not a film, but I saw the first episode of the new spartacus thing.
Its spartacus and it was obviously going to be 300 inspired, so I had to.

A: They really overdid the cgi blood thing.
B: They said 'cvnt' FAR more often than I expected (which was not at all, to like, idunno I wasnt keeping count but it surprised me anyway, and there were some mighty fine insults flying round)
C: There was more nekkid female flesh than I expected
D: The dialogue wasnt as completely retarded as I expected.

I really enjoyed it, on the whole. Good for a laugh.

in a surprising change to its usual film schedules, the world is not enough was on ITV2 last night.

And The Mummy Returns was on earlier that evening!

What's on now?  Oh!  The World Is Not Enough!

I watched Serenity last night.   Why does everything on ITV4 look like they transferred it to VHS before broadcasting it?

hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha, i didn't notice that

I wonder when mission impossible will be on again? it's at least 3 weeks since it was last on...

i haven't noticed that about itv 4, i'll have to keep an eye out. I'm watching it generally through sky, though- are you watching through freeview? i'm not sure if our normal aerial can pick up itv4... :(

OK, never mind depressing stuff.  I just watched Outlander.  A science fiction Viking movie.  With an old-fashioned "quiet man" hero, not a cheesy comedy one-liner in sight.  And it has monsters!

Loved it!  :D

I know; shock horror!

I thought outlander still had some pretty funny parts, though, even though it was blessedly free of one liners.
